Install Drupal modules without learning composer or the command line

One of the main complaints non-developers have about Drupal involves composer. In the Olden Tymes, you could just upload a module to your site and that was it. Nowadays you're supposed to use composer and not using it will cause problems.

Unfortunately, using composer means you have to learn how to open a command line program and type in arcane commands. As a result, many people reject Drupal in favor of Wordpress.

Thankfully, we've created a way around that!

Now, you can download and install Drupal modules without having to become a developer. It's as easy as running a desktop application, and the application runs on Windows, Mac, and Linux.

The video below shows how it works. For the text version, visit the Sheephole module page for the easy-to-follow installation instructions. All you need to do is make sure you have Java installed, get the SSH information (ask your host for that), and run the application.

In fact, we've integrated the application with Project Browser. So, you can use Project Browser to find modules, and then use the Sheephole application to safely install them.
